if you want to rip audio from a vob file,i think a video editing software avidemux can help you but it is highly advanced and pain to setup for some, you can look for more but i doubt they are free.except for format factory but i'm not really impressed with the encoding quality. * +

if its a regular dvd then i think it should have a folder VIDEO_TS,open it,sort files by size and select gigantic VOB files, there is usually 4 or so of them.copy these to your hard drive off the dvd.make sure you have anough disk space.now load a vob by vob into avidemux and preview it to see does it contain the songs you are looking for.if so,click audio save and save the track.this should save * +
