Hi, I just formatted and restored my backups but why is my saved web pages (saved as .mht) showing as if there isn't a program to open it, yet wen I click on it they open with opera... It always showed as opera iconWhy doesn't it anymore? * +

there was a problem with the backup.go to control panel,folder options,filetypes,sort by extensions and see is there anything under mht.if not,click new and create one or if there is an mht,edit it or restore then edit,fix the file path to point to opera.you can also do all this directly via registry if this method doesn't work.if you need detailed help,just ask * +

nah they are opera extension and opera is set as my default browser so they open with opera. Thanx for the help, I'll try what you suggested! * +

It didn't work...in file types the opera icon showed for .mht and .mhtml files but wen I hit restore the icons disapeared...it is already pointing to opera but still no icon... * +

after you hit restore,the button should change to advanced.hit it again to open another dialog.select an option like open or run,the thing that should appear in the context menu when you right click on the filetype.if you see no such thing,hit the button new.either way under action there should stand what you want to see in the context menu like open or edit etc.. under application to perform.. * +

there should be a full path to the opera enclosed in quotes an empty space and percent sign and a number one enclosed in quotes.there should be no space between percent and one. the dde checkbox should be unchecked in this case.save the changes,log off and double click on an mht file to see does it open in opera. * +

assuming that your opera is under standard program files path here is what you should add in application to perform.. field 'C:/program files/opera/opera.exe' 'x1' but replace ' with standard quotes,slashes with backslashes and x with a percent sign,the standard path with the actual path to opera.exe * +

Everything is already as you described, yet the icon doesn't show...even when I set it to always open with IE it still shows as if there's no associated program for it and I just noticed that when I open these saved pages individually, it opens like 30 tabs in opera-opening irrelevant tabs. This is first time something like this has happend and I have no idea why it does this * +
