help me out please because i dont know how to reply to my mate message, ok few days ago he took it to pc shop and he wanted a driver so that he can burn movies and using dual layer discs. the problem is he said whenever he puts a disc in the drive, dont matter what disc the pc freezes up, he tried rebooting it but same things happen. even when he puts a disc in the drive on windows starting up it * +

oh by the way the pc works fine as long as he dont put a disc in the drive what he said. * +

sounds like a driver issue. uninstall as said. on reboot the o.s should then auto detect it. it could also be that there isnt enough power in the psu. has your m8 opend the pc and made sure everything that was in there is still in there. * +
