No they dont. What reviews are looking at? Hardwaresecrets.com go checxk out any psu review. they take it apart check what caps are used the hole lot. HardOCP puts it on 12 hour torture testing. If they cut a corner it wont make it through the test. Good PSUs brands are Corsair, Seasonic (whos a OEM and makes most of the PSUs for Corsair etc,, XFX, Antec, PC Power cooling, Enermax, Some of OCZ psu * +

that psu aint a overkill. A psu runs its max eff ifs running at 50 percent load. Theres no overkill with a psu unless your running a couple of disks with a 1200w psu * +

Power supply efficiency does decrease nearing maximum load but we are talking about a couple percent here. Absolutely nothing significant. * +
