I've decided to jump in and try my hand at I.T. programming interests me though i do not know it. thing is programming has several paths under it so i need insight on which path will open doors for me. There's a diploma for 2 years and i choose either java and advanced java, VB and MCTS or C sharp and MCTS. * +

Think I read c sharp is a bit pointless to learn now. Also I'm pretty sure there is high and low level programming. I wonder how hard it would be to jump in the deep end and learn low level, like c+ ? I'm not a programmer btw and everything I said might be wrong * +

yea i am.. i was hoping i would end up somewhere with programming in java... granted i have no prior experience in programming but i reckoned it will be a carreer that will open doors for me... oop languages? what are those? * +
