check the hardware device manager and make sure its installed. then open windows live or other, go to options/tools and make the webcam the primary capture device. apply and restart the app. you cam should now be usable. as for the cams own capture software thats normaly available in control pannel. or in a folder on the start bar labled by the laptop manufacturer.
