i had this kind of problem once, dont know if it is the same, it happens when the usb sockets get overloaded, remove everything plugged into the usb sockets, clean the inside of the sockets with a small brush etc, sometimes a bit of the usb plug breaks off inside the socket causeing it to short out, then try rebooting * +
