remove the phone and see if the pc is still slow, chances are it will be, and is more likley down to a software/driver conflict. * +

the easyest way is to turn off the connection by logging out when your not using it, but if it is because your using a splitter than all you can do is either get another line put in , change to a cable operator and get the phone seperate or try a wireless dongle and router.(the latter stops the signal to the pc when its not in use). * +

if its a driver/software conflict then its down to your forensics skills, and your ability to find and trouble shoot the problem. start with the admin event viewer in controlpannel. anny errors should show up there first. * +
