Today, 14.01.2011, the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is RTM (released to manufacturing). The final build for Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is: 6.1.7601.17514.101119-1850. In the near future only Microsofts partners will receive this update. Users world-wide will get it in March 2011 (supposedly). * +

wondering if this one is going to be full of bugs and security holes like service packs on previous windows versions? Saying that, win7 has always been a better choice than vista, so if there's a marked performance improvement with this Sp, its going to be worth having for that alone. *
