i format it via manually in set up mode by pressing DEL then going through set up mode. * +

another thing i realised its making a funny noise, you know the fan noise is alot higher, maybe its on its last leg? * +

ok guys i just took it to a tech shop near me only to try it there, they put there power cable in and cable for the monitor and it WORKED, had absolutely no problem, its the d*mn cables and power cable that must be faulty. * +

I wonder how sata was working then... They must hav changed IDE power cables... *
