The whole market will shift in one year, i guarantee it. 4 core will be entry level, and 6 core will be mainstream and 8 core will be performance around this time next year. The 8 cores will probably only have a scant few models, but i bet there will be something around that will be the equivalent of the Q660, and then the i7 920, and the i5 750, and the 2500k.....etc * +

as long as they aint 500 pound plus . so is ivybridge a replacement for sandybridge , new socket etc ? or they both keeping both alive . ? * +

i want a 6 core cpu for 250 -300 pound .new motherboard say 250 and some new ram say about 150 , if those prices are matched ill be happy with ivybridge , *
