Your router is probably not broadcating its SSID. Its probably set to hidden. Many are default hidden because it weakens user postions who download illegally from saying that their wifi was being stolen. You need to go into the router settings and enable it, if you want to scan * +

also check your firewall, a mobile phone is classed as a PUBLIC conection, your wifi hub and firewall maybe set to accept HOME conections only *
