After I copy all my files over to the portable h drive dis that mean it's ok to deleat the files of the laptop ? * +

everything that isnt a system file or pertaining to your account, yes. you will need to leave your windows folders, your programfiles that you didnt install, and your user folders + anything else you didnt put on after you got it. * +
