I forgot to say it crashes only when playing movies on virtual drive. have uninstalled magic disk. Since then it has.nt crashed yet * +

not sure m8, i have heard of copy protection that turns a dvd writer into a cd reader only then causes a hardware crash. i think it was by sony. all you can do is test it, burn and read a few dvd's you will know soon enough if the drive or lazer is failing. * +

I have a lg dvd rw. I did burned a couple of dvd and it seem's fine till now. and what would you suggest a s/w to mount image disk ? * +

Im just a user no geek in my computer i mount images using a software named ultra iso it isnt free however it came with some key patch thing? that avoids payment it was from a site named 4shared.com * +

i use ultraiso as i dont mount many disks. only dvdimages to convert to avi. if i dl a game to try b4 i buy i just extract the iso with winrar and install from the folder. no mounting or burning as i dont keep em more than a day or 2. *
