Hey guys, I have a WD 160 gb drive and recently Win 7 gave me the error sign saying that the hard disk is faulty. I reinstalled and the same thing occured. I then backed up my files and formatted. The system boots but when I install games they don't run cause its miss dll extensions. Should I replace the drive? Which brand is better too? * +

Guys it's working once again. Should I assume that its ok? Or should I Purchase a new hardrive? Cause few of my games are tad slugish, could this be a hardrive bassed problem? * +

i would never take a risk with a hardrive , they are so cheap to replace now. a 1tb samsung f3 which is a very fast drive can be bought for under 40 pound online . or an even faster samsung f4 320gb can be had for just 30 pounds . dont take the risk mate * +

Solid state drive is the way to go,no moving parts, runs cooler and uses less power, way faster boot time,no need to defrag * +

Thanks guys, I managed to get a Seagate Barracuda 1tb drive. Everything seems to be working ok. I don't know whether my Dvd Rw is going. I tried installing STFU 2 and it says that's missing dll extension ( d3dx9_41.dll) its an original copy. * +
