the moment i turn on power to my pc,a nagging alarm starts sounding and the hard disks dnt start up?Grantd,i dnt knw enuf abt pc's to knw wot it is,bt i do knw the alarm signifies sum kind of critical error?Any ideas?CMOS?Hard disk failure?Procesor error? * +

if the pc is booting to post then enter bios and turn the alarms off 1 at a time. normaly if its screaching (litraly making a very unpleasant lound continuous noise) at boot it means no memory or bad psu. if it gives a beep code like 1 long and 3 short then post it here. a short beep lasts a 10th of a second a long 1 lasts about a second. with a second pause between each. * +

ok,found the nagging alarm :-) jumpers for pwr led and hdd led were incorrectly placed!Nw when i power up,its jst 1 beep,bt then the hard disks dnt boot,and after abt 2 minutes the pc powers dwn automaticaly?Scrn also says no signal input?Procesor maybe? * +
