absolute waste if you want it for gaming. if your doing it for video playback then as long as your monitor can handle 1080i then it should work fine. * +

you will probably need a dvi to dvi-vga adapter or an hdmi to dvi-vga cable. * +

would i get that with the screen or would i have to buy it in addition to the screen * +

ah. just looked it up it already had dvi outputs so you will just need a dvi to dvi or dvi to hdmi cable depending on what your monitor has for connection. it also supports up to 2500/1600 screen rez so will support any 1080i 30hz monitor. but dont expect 1080p 60hz so make sure the monitor supports that rez and frequencey b4 you buy it. * +

the cables come with the gfx card in the case of dvi. or they will at least come with a dvi adapter block for a vga cable. any other fittings or cobles you will have to buy seperatley. * +

my old 88gt came with a dvi-vga adapter and vga cable. my monitor came with a dvi cable. not all monitors come with the required leads though, especialy cheaper makes. * +
