Subject: Wtf stupid noise

most times if a capacitor blows, you'll see that the top becomes round and raised. If you see this on any of the capacitors then it's definately blown. Psu will need to be replaced then * +

unless you plan on unsoldering it and soldering in new one's far easier to replace whole psu though. And safer, you cant be sure why they blew in the first place * +

You can turn it of by the wall do a handstand and call yourself suzy that still don't clear the caps. There's only one way to find out without guessing open up the case and try to see where its coming from. Do you have any other electrical equipment like a amp close to your pc? * +

your pc is posessed by the devil. Seriously its probably an inductor in a dc to dc convertor or a switching regulator circuit somewhere. If it works fine dont fiddle with it. * +

I wont be doing any soldering. Not had chance to take it apart tonight but even if i did, its not making the noise anymore so i would not know what the prob was. I am pretty sure it will happen again though. * +

Switched my pc on once and this hair racing alarm went off with this red warning over the screen. Cpu fan not working that's enough to give you a fright almost like you've been flagged by the FBI. Opened it to find a mouse hanging from the cpu fan lol. One of the slides at the slots came loose and in it went. My brother thumped its head in though poor critter but the pc ran supercool after pmpl *
