if you have your side cover off is it of any value to have fan pulling air or blowing it out of case at the rear of computer? * +

i got my current computer case without side cover, it does have one on the other side though. Just wondering if the only thing the rear exhaust fan is doing is making noise, which it makes a lot of. Would it make much difference if i disconnected it till i get side cover? * +

well i went ahead and disconnected it anyway. Lol. Basicaly no change in mainboard temperature, but it is about 1:00am in the morning and not exactly too hot outside. Gonna keep a close eye on it tomorrow and see how the temperature goes. Think i'll get replacement fan soon though. Hopefully a more quiet one. Just to be on safe side * +

and a side cover if i ever manage to find one. Seems almost impossible to buy one at any of the computer shops here * +

you can get the custom made side cover wont cost more than 200 rupees i.e nearly 5 to 6 dollars or at the computsf shop repairing old pc * +

so, i'm safe then i take it jay? It's basicaly running at almost exactly the same temps with the exhaust fan working. Lot more quiet too. Looks like it's gonna get hot here today. Will continue to keep close watch just in case * +
