hi guys. hav a serious issue. recently my msiexec file ws givng an issue on my pc. i tryd 2 repair it using d xp disk via chkdsk unda repair. afta d repair completd it said dt dr wer sum errors. nw it refuses to load up. says d file windowssystem32configsystem is missing or corrupt. i tryd to restart n also repair d system bt it stil gives me dat msg. guys d information i hav on dat hardrive is invaluable and i cnt afford to lose it. * +

theres only 1 real solution, another hdd, you will have to install it with a new o.s. then plug in the old hdd and copy your files across. in this case chkdsk actualy caused the problem, you should have uses sfc/ scannow to do the repair as that sets all the ms files back to there original state. * +
