another solution instead of using another hard drive is to reinstall windows without formatting. Just replace the old windows. * +

Here's another one use partition table dr and recover my files ntfs. Start recover my files after 3 min of scanning stop it. Look for the mft its 50mb in size approximately. Recover it on a usb. Start ptd then write the mft to disk wolla all your files back and neatly on the drive. Now use norton ghost clone it to new drive. Finish * +

Or you couldve used spinrite to fix the drive and get the data back so it can be cloned........... * +

Go to your other post check what I wrote there recuva are medioker actually. Get hiron boot cd if you really want to recover your files. Because in windows the drive gets locked and windows starts writing to it messing up your chances more of recovering it * +
