Greetings guys. I'm replacing my HD5770. Thing is I don't really know whether to get the HD6850 or the GTX460. Performance wise they both seem more or less the same and both look like they overclock decently. Got some solid advice here before, would appreciate it if I can get a couple of opinions again? * +

These are two very impressive products which each have their own strengths. For those who want great gaming performance and wish to try Stereoscopic gaming/movies or PhysX the GTX 460 is the way to go. The 6850 offers good gaming performance but better connectivity (DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4) for connection to the latest HDTVs. The 3D Blu-Ray playback is also good and it allows us to run 3 screens * +

the gtx460 is a monster overclocker , the evga ftw version is on par with a 5870 and in some cases beats it , for half the price . better than the 6850 also * +

FTW is a fairly good card. Nigh on as fast as a stock GTX470. Therein lies the problem though. Stock GTX470 can be had for as little as 165 pounds. Plus you can overclock them quite well too. Sure they suck power up, it depends if you find that a major deely. I wouldnt as much, and the 470 is still a tad faster most of the time at high res mainly because it has more memory and lots more bandwidth * +

the EVGA is a 170 quid card too BTW. 
if power is a problem, the EVGA will save you like 40 watts, if it isnt 470 is better for similar money * +

yeah the 470 is a great card , i would choose it over the 5870 every time , dont know why i didnt , 5870 great card but ati drivers let them down . they are so bad , it seems theres a new driver every other week then a hotfix , then another hotfix to fix the last one . * +

470 is at the end of its life now , the prices are dropping fast so if you want one get it quick , they will be replaced soon by the gtx570 * +
