hello good people. was curious how good the avira security suite firewall is compared to kas firewall. also can the avira firewall totally replace windows firewall? how is the use of resources? * +

Am nt goin bk 2 kas! its one sturborn program! at tyms its firewall slows down my internet speeds n i hav 2 switch it off completely when usin the internet...then its disturbin start-up scan that makes u click twice or thrice b4 a program opens. * +

the start-up object scan drags the p.c so much...tho it does it once a while...each tym it keeps on runin arnd after a few minutes...i notice this wen ma p.c hangs a bit n i hav 2 manualy stop kas frm doin it..n wit 2011...updatin is a headache! * +

i using Avira and no problems wid it provided i keep it updated. The only problem i have wid it is dat it does not have an e mail scanner for Outlook. I wil be moving to Avast soon. * +

will look at that when i get home carta. my pc is not lightening fast hence the search for something light on resources. avira has served me well but now want to get it with its firewall. got suspicion my current systems net security is compromised. * +

i went to the link and i see ur point... how about a basic avira antivirus plus comodo security... is comodo a resources hogger.. have never used it before and i just read of people mentioning it just didn't know it was so good that its even better than KIS judging by the results on that link. PLus its free!! * +

From 22 products, Avira is in...20th place of the list. And now you want to believe that this test is serious? 
I really cant believe that the Avira's product is so cr*p.... * +
