just got the new service pack from m.s. for win 7 it contains all previous updates and some ongoing fixes. this is a beta rc1 so dont deploy it on your main system. it expires aug-nov 2011 and the actual sp1 will be deployed mid 2011. install it at your own risk. * +

so far i have not noticed any difference in performance, so there is no real reason to install it form what i can see unless your a developer. * +

you will have to validate your windows so please dont get it if your win 7 isnt genuine or cant pass as genuine. * +

Yeah, installed it on my office computer. I thought they would fix 'Homegroup' in service pack 1. But no, they havent. * +

It is always safer to wait a few weeks to a month before downloading a service pack . That gives some time for MS to fix any glaring errors that might send your pc into endless reboots and such .
