i cant open any folder/drive in my pc...it says THIS FILE DOES NOT HAVE A FILE TYPE ASSOCIATED WITH IT FOR PERFORMING THIS ACTION. PLEASE INSTALL A PROGRAM, OR IF ONE IS ALREADY INSTALLED, CREATE AN ASSOCIATION IN THE DEFAULT PROGRAMS CONTROL PANEL. i need help about what i have to set in the control panel...tnx... * +

it's most probably a virus, i've had that problem a couple of times already. Do virus scan, i bet you'll find viruses. * +

Update your anti.virus fully. Get malware byte s and then boot the pc in safe mood and do the full scan using both . Hope you can do it :) * +

i updated both avast and win defender but they do not show any virus etc....but problem persists... * +

I see it as symbol of virus. Also disable autorun for media from control panel. * +

i used AVG when i had the problem, it picked up the viruses, and after it disinfected them the problem went away. It could be something else though i suppose, why dont you try different antivirus app * +
