Two problems...firstly is a black screen whenever ive logged on an my desktop boots?stays for like a minute or so..how do i get rid? also windows live messenger 2011..how do i get it to work on my acer 5630? downloade n installed twice..but cant logon.tried all the ideas of micrsoft error page...help! please! lol.Thanks * +

ok, lease explain the first issue again... and on the second one, i'm guessing the internat connection working if you can download it... so i'm confused, but will try find out more... I don't advise windows live though cause i picked up a few viruses on there a month or two back... * +

Right the first issue..once ive logged on an my laptop goes to the desktop i have a black screen for 1-2 minutes? with just the mouse pointer on screen? an dnt knw why? * +

Hmm , how many programs do you have running on start up , like those little icons on taskbar ? do you use the Areo theme ? is Active desktop engaged ? And do you have a legal version of Windows ? any of those can cause problems . * +

hman go to control pannel, admin tools, event viewer, you will see some yellow or red triangles or circles next to boot apps. these are whats causing your problem. something is crashing or cant start its service at startup. *
