some rechargers do let you charge one battery mine does, but most dont, try this AT OWN RISK, the way i used to get around the problem is to use a bit of low amp fuse wire, the lower the better, and join the two spare conectors , so it acts as if a battery was there, if any problems occur then the fuse wire should blow, also use a 3amp fuse in the chargers plug to be on the safe side *
