When i make videos i record them on my phone in mp4 format, then i convert to avi before i put it in movie maker. Everything if fine up to now but when i put the clip in the timeline the sound quality changes quite dramatically making my voice sound sort of tiny and slighty robotish. . Its hard to explain. If i play the clip before putting it in the timeline its fine but in the timeline it changes * +

How can i put it in the timeline and retain the original sound quality? Thanks * +

Its because of Movie maker. Movie maker changes the bitrate to fit the file size you mention at the time of compiling. Max is 25mb I guess and if you are serious then you'll have to look for other video editing software. I don't remember any freeware's which can do this well. All other video editor from corel and adobe are better at this job. * +

I am not into in serious enough to pay hundreds for decent software. I did try vega 9 trial and it was very complicated. * +
