hi last two days when booting pc this message comes up and my clock goes back seven years, in 3 years of having a pc ive never seen this before until now, anyone know how i can stop it happening ? surely i dont have a battery on a pc thanks * +

yes you do . it powers the bios so your pc can remember the bios settings every boot, the average battery lasts 5 years. give or take. * +

be carfull how you handle the battery or you will be replacng it again in 6 months because you reduced the life of it by touching both poles. * +
