my dvd drive keeps closing after i open it and then goes wild, open and closing, and when i try to write it sometimes open mid way, so is it totally skrwd or can i fix it *

try uninstalling it and its driver from system then reboot. i have heard of old malware being able to do this also so scan with spybot s and d, or malware bytes. *

also make sure all the wires are connected properly and you have no shorts to the case. *
