How do I delete files that have a little padlock symbol.. My Os is Win 7 Pro x64 * +

the padlock means there not available to share. thats all. they are secure to an account. * +

just log on to that account and you should be able to delete them. as long as there not system files. * +

There is only one account on my laptop and it was my aunties laptop that put the folder on there, that's an xp pro laptop * +

Select the file and press Shift + Del it that folder was copied from other pc I guess * +

It can be tedious but try this . boot up in safe mode . log in as system administrator . right click that file and remove any protection . then you can delete away . There are easier ways like doing a secure delete or wiping , but then you will have a bunch of registry errors that may be difficult to repair . * +
