I do update mine every single time I Connect. And although I Leave my pc on I Switch the router off when I Go out cos I Dont like an online computer unattended. * +

I also do regular windows updates. I prefer to do them manually so its easier to see whats going on. * +

I do the manual Windows updates also . There were way too many buggy updates with xp . I was darned wary of the quickfixes also . And it was not that long ago when Macaffe released a buggy update too . That's why I won't buy a new pc that does not come with an install disk . And The first thing I do with a new pc is make a repair disk . *
