I keep getting this message on my pc when im using it. Microsoft Explorer has encountered an error and need to close im using a microsoft windows xp professional the version is 5.1.2600 service pack 3 build 2600 can anyone help me with this problem? I know my post is very random so many things could be causing such an error but if anyone can plz make any suggestion i would greatly appreciate it. * +

insert your xp disk after boot. go to start, run and type sfc /scannow. * +

Thanks for the reply. I dont hav my xp disk at the moment is there anything i can try for now til i get the disk back? Also im sorry to ask such a numpy question but i just wanted to know that i was checking the system information on my pc an i was wondering what is the recommended amount of available physical memory one should hav? * +

control panel-system-advanced-performance i think,then set the paging file to about 2GB,that would be anough if you have decent ram * +
