theres your problem you need win 7 basic, ultimate is overpowering your cpu, your ram and basicaly crippling yer system. * +

basicaly ypur lappy is running of its virtual drive, because most of the mem is being taken up by ultimate, an average install of ultimate will use between 1.2 and 1.8 gigs of ram so you need 3-4 or more gigs to realy run it smoothly, you dont have the ram so all your apps will be loaded into the page file and then your pc will slow to a crawl. un install the o.s and get a lesser version. * +

What av are you using and what OS are you using? * +

Oh its win 7. but that won't be the problem due to high cpu usage. That's could be due to disk activity. Firefox muncher ram like ethopian at kfc * +
