I am running short of disc space on my C drive. Is there any way i can decrease the disc space of some other drive and add the same to C drive ? * +

How will that increase his drive space? Right click on recycle bin set it from 12 percent to 3 percent. That should get you a gig or two. Then system restore the same 12 percent to 3. Right click on ur drive then choose cleanup disk. Delete all restore points. Still not enough buy a bigger drive * +

funnily, the C: (system drive) should only be allotted for the windows installation. you should throw stuff out of C: and shrink it really. 20-30GB max on XP, maybe 40GB on Vista/7. These are failsafe and you can go lower if you make you you will never magicallyaccidentally hit the limit and get BSODs or something else that you may not like. * +

also to expand C: you need to purge partitions behind it. this applies to shrink as well. the shrinking requires defragmentation of drive and pagefile. (pagedefrag etc.) you might want to do that when expanding just in case. * +

And if your drive was formated with NTFS file system, compress all the files and folders of your C: drive... It will free up at least 30 percent of your drive... But its not available for FAT or FAT32... * +

Re partition your hard disk using Easus partition master...my c drive size is 125gb *
