the 250 all the way the 250gts is a 98gtx+ overclocked. it will do a comparable oc as it has better cooling on the refrence cooler. * +

no its about 15 percent faster than a 98gt. and about 1 percent faster than a 98gtx * +

results will vary a little depending on your cpu, if you have a low end 2.4 dual core (amd 4600x2-5200x2) then you will get bottleknecks with both cards. a 98gt needs a minimum of 3.0ghz (amd athlon 6000x2) the 250gtx needs a 3.2ghz x2 minimum. * +

intel wise a 2.2 core 2 will do for the 98gt and a 2.4 for the 250. * +

@jay i had a Gts250 palited i swoped it for a 98gt palited not much dif i think in 3dmark06 iv scored 11000 and somthing with the gts250 benched with the 98 it was 10994 not a huge dif...im runing a c2d 2.8ghz 2gb xms gaming ram and a 550watt gigabyte psu... Its only when i oc my cpu to a 3.67ghz i saw a dif with the gts250... I can say that becase i had both cards not being rude 
oh and the both 1gb gddr3 256bit i had the gts250 with the 12pins for the power not the E-GREEN * +
