windows mobile phones area the most vulnerable to trojan secret dialers . J2me phones are usually the most secure phones , and some of the weakest smart phones. * +

most new phones can be treat like any other external storage medium, ie attach to the pc and scan with your antimalware products. always remember to turn off blue tooth if you have it just to be more secure... not that i know much at all about phones, just a basic tip. * +

what Jay was referring to I think if you use it as a external storage you can get spyware on it that can infect your pc. But for phone os to be infected by itself no way in hell. Java apps save their stuff in the memory. When you quit its gone. there's no java malware for phones. * +

there is really no operating system made in java.The java virtual machine or kilobyte virtual machine is made in either assembly or C and can be infected.down goes the whole phone.there are J2ME viruses but they don't cause much damage since they are themselves made in java.knowledge of arm assembly and c is getting common and the j2me platform will be rendered unsafe * +
