Pls i installed win7 in an old compaq that previous came with xp...but i'm having problem getting driver like audio,graphic display, etc... for it. When i went to hp support site compaq drivers 4 win7 was not supported, all i saw were those for xp and vista...HELP * +

try the ones for vista but install them with admin priveleges and if that doesnt work try installing them in xp mode... * +

or use windows update to get it. Simplest and also only way in many cases. * +

@phykid how can i install in xp mode...? I'll try and install window vista driver...i just pray i don't end up scr*wing up my d*mn old pc...geesh * +

when you install anythinh especially with .exe files right click and install with admin privileges and if it happens not to install then it will give you an option to install it in compatibility mode. then u choose the mode it worked or installed on before i.e if u had xp sp2 then use that mode. however i think xp mode is only in win7 ultimate. not sure about the other flavours of win7 like basic * +

i'm using a vista driver for my geforce fx in windows 7 and i got everything including full transparency. ur compaq must be really REALLY old. * +
