Hello :) for some reason, over the past week or so my PC has stopped recognising any USB devices at all - my phone, my sisters phone, Ipod, mouse, wireless adaptor. Everything. I've tried all the USB ports, so its not just one faulty one, it wont recognise anything at all. Its not the devices, they work fine on the laptop. Any ideas what's wrong? I can't figure it out for the life of me :( Thanks x * +

Thank you for the advice, but, with all due respect, I'm not an idiot. I'm all Googled out, even down to trying simply unplugging it from the mains and not had any luck. Hence I'm in here

Update usb drivers from device manager it will surely fix it out I guess . You need to be connected internet. For device manager right click on my computer and select manage. You.ll find device manager somewhere * +

You don't need internet connection, just plug in that device and it the system will just sound the beep to notify that u hev plugged something but won't show anything and then go to your device manger and locate the device you're inserted in the USB's if its there, just scan for hardware changes and if its not then reinsert it again.Goodluck * +
