I recently got an asus crw-5232A3 which i have installed in my tower. My problem is that win xp has installed the drivers for a mitsumi cd rom. I have played with the registry to get windows to see it as a cdrw but it will not burn anything. I assume that this is because it is telling the burner commands for the mitsumi model and not asus. Can anyone help me please im going mental here lol * +

That drive should have come with a bloatware cd that should have what you need . If not take it back and get a different brand . You need to check the jumper plug also . It may be in the wrong location . * +
