if your using a pc with a via chipset then remove the via raid tool, either dissable it in system or unistall it if that is an option. * +

Okay , it sounds like a disc read error . Look at your error reports . If you see that and cyclic redundency errors it may mean you need a new dvd/cd drive . * +

infact this error creeps up with a lot of chipsets and virtual drive setups. so give your system spec/motherboard/chipset and any virtual drive setup your using. * +

Also , does it happen after a dvd/cd was inserted . Than can be windows cd writer . It would actually be a registry error from that program . * +
