Im plannin of gettin a netbook for univ purpose, but i do not know which to go for- SONY or DELL? Im only specific about long battery life n fast connectivity. Pls giv me yr suggestions n advices on purchasin a netbook * +

Netbooks are good for light office work, web browsing, maybe movies. Not too much else, just so you know. Most of the netbooks you will see will be Intel atom processors with GMA3100 graphics. They all share motherboards and processors so dont spend a fortune on one. * +

The main differences will be how much RAM they are fitted with, how big the hard drives are and the basic design of the chassis components like the screen/keyboard etc. Really popular models are stuff like the samsung N210. Really i dont see any reason to spend more than the equivalent of 300 pounds on these machines cos they arent worth it * +

both are usually overpriced dont you think? Go see how much an N210 costs against the dell mini you are looking at and the sony and get back with the price * +

Yea N210-15k, dell-19k, sony-22k. But reviews seems really bad 4 samsung n they say battery s extremely poor:( * +

the N210?? They usually have six cell 5900mah batteries that last more than 8 hours easily. Its one of the best on the market! * +
