its a high level language which means easy to learn easy to read and easy to program with as the definitions and vocab kernal are virtualy english... the higher the level the closer to plain english the programming language is. low level like machine code, assembler are low level and closer to what the computer speaks. the lower level you can program at the better c++ is a step above assembler and * +

a good way below basic, so is learnable by most programmers that can program basic. basic is a good jumping off point for beginners as it enables you to impliment your ideas in a stable and relitivley easy to debug enviroment and can be learnt in a couple of months. most ofices have vbasic apps that they use for there own inhouse use so knowing vbasic is handy. if your a serious programer then c++ * +

is where you want to start but only really if your gonna be a programmer as a profession. MSC's are good for topping up yer cv but little else as they pretty much just cover the basics of computing although there are higher levels of certification they often cost more than there worth... a collage/uni degree is better. * +
