hey guys, require your tech opinion. My current rig is as follows, 2gb ram, 9600gt, amd dual core 5000+. I want a new card, mabye the gts250, 5570 or 5750. I also want a new cpu, will i benefit from a amd x2 dual 240? * +

i dont have a huge budget atm. I basically askin if those will b good enough, especially cpu wise. Im not too unhappy with gpu bt i THINK im gettn a bottleneck atm... * +

I think the 550 BE works on AM2+? check board compatability. Thats a decent chip to pick because if you upgrade your board later you can try unlocking it to a quad. Good choice IMO. * +

yje x2 240 is not an upgrade m8, its basicaly the same chip on a smaller die, with a very slight performance gain of about 1-2 percent. not worth the cash at all. if your insisting on keeping a dual setup which to my eye is a waste of time now as they are minimum spec on todays games you want a 600 series or better but realy your best saving up another 50 usd /r500 /40 gbp and getin a 2.4 quad * +
