FF is in the mid-range when running bloated websites as is. But without most of the bloat the differences become smaller. (filtering content with NS, abp etc. or just disabling things in prefs) Safari betas are almost always THE best performing in benchmarks of active content. Still doesn't make it an actually decent browser. I for one do not exchange functionality, extendability and security for mostly nominal differences in ''speed'' of normal web usage. * +

you cant say its the fastest. I use jondofox and its blood quick coz it hav all those stupid add ons removed and only got adblock and no script installed. Then safari is just as quick depends how you tune it and if u enabled the plugins * +

Phlykid I have Firefox 3.6.8, its not a beta release. I use Opera and always used Opera to browse, just for some time I used Chrome when it was fast. Still use Chrome now and than. Firefox I don't even use I need to uninstall that kak browser off my PC. I don't use add-ons so Firefox has no purpose for my usage. * +

i too got 3.6.8 but i mean therez quite a few betas of the upcoming version... those are the betas i was talking about. based on what u saying @ amlive.. do scripts slow down pages. got a few installed but in most instances they are almost necessary. i got adblock but maybe the other plugins cancel out the speed i would get if i only had adblock present. guess i'm in the impressionable stage. *
