Just done a windows update, there was about 16 security updates to do, so I did that, restarted and now none of my internet buttons work? What's all that about eh? Just going to try all the usual checks on settings and probably do a system restore but blumin eck, wtf going on with that? My internet explorer doesn't have a program associated with it, same as firefox and chrome? wmp does the same? * +

i just updated but missed out the malware scanner and 2 updates for ie8 which is supposed to be uninstalled . all is fine * +

i got 12 this morning. 40+mb and all is well, b4 you do anything turn of your antivirus and see if your net connects. * +

occasionaly in the past M.S have brought out updates that cause active scanning on certain av's to kick in and block all internet activity because they think its malware. * +

That reboot after updates use to be torterous praying like hell for for that bsod to not appear which happened so many times updating xp lol * +

why? if you have a decent net connection thats stable your updates should come though clean and work. unless ms screw up as they do on rare occasions., then you just safe mode and uninstall the new updates , easy. * +

litraly in 5 years i have had 3 updates cause a problem with my rig. 1 signiture library, 1 security update that zonealarm decided was malware and .net4.5 wich refused to validate till i restarted. yet i see time after time guys like you saying ms update...START PRAYING... * +
