Is there a way to speed up KMPlayer response when playing through a folder of songs. Winamp used to be fast but after a few hours with KMPlayer and i'm loving it. its chokeful of features and plays both audio and video but i find it slow opening up songs. Any fix or workaround? * +

Oh and everytime i play anything with it the theme changes to basic... in other wors all my aero visuals are gone and desktop is reduced to a dull non aero look, would like to change that too if possible * +

that happens when the program is coded wrong lol. there is some output identifier or a flag or something it has to give to keep it from reverting to basic. also get a proper music player like foobar2000. using k-multimedia player for music is no different than using VLC or MPlayer for the same thing. no2 there's also clementine and quodlibet * +

hmm... i was hunting for an alternative to winamp and teh sleek looks and a oogles of features of KMplayer won me over that i even hunted for the latest version. foobar 2000 you say... will try that and see how it performs. and the other 2 obscure ones too. thanx * +

i dont get it though why people praise vlc and mpc so much, the first one crashes when tempering with image settings and the second one even gave me a bsod after several insucessful tv card streaming attempts.and winamp simply became bloatware, the only thing i m missing are visualisations, everything else is just..useless comparing to what other players offer, why do i need a music library database * +

when i can just open the entire music folder along with subfolders in about 3 clicks and enjoy?i already have the explorer in my pc,i dont need one bundled with my audio/video software.people think the more features the better-wrong,simple and straight forward is the best you can get from software-does all you need but none that you dont.why would my audio player play videos as well?that would be * +
