so you have tryed ctrl alt del? is your drive lite flashing? if so wait 10 minutes, you may have an app trying to time out, if thats the problem then explorer should work when the other app fails. if not try last good config from the boot menu. * +

Open taskmgr, go to file new task then type explorer.exe and run. If this fails go to th local disk by clicking browsing, then go folder windows look for an application that looks like a file with name explorer but now because of what you installed they maybe 2 of them on named explorer.exe.old keep this 1 and delete that other 1 then open it, you can aswell copy the explorer application * +

And I 4got to mention that if its disabled by a virus run the registry editor and navigate to HKLM,SOFTWARE,Microsoft,Windows NT,CurrentVersion,Winlogon then look 4 autorestartshell change its value to 1. restart. *
