so although the move to 1155 is assured i think there will still be a need for 1156 and its overclockablity, its budget minded cpu's and upgradeability... after all the 800 series chips are pretty d*mn good and the price should only come down unless intel abandon them altogether in favor of the 1155 which to me has severe limitations. * +

the future doesnt look to rosey for the 1366 either, with the sandybridge cores and socker 2011 neph c chips locked clock ratios locked to buss meanig 2-3 percent overclockability is a serious no no for enthusiasts. i mean no overclocking means you have to buy fast cores and fast cores cost money... and who the fk wants intergrated gfx.... if amd have the balls they may just get there gap in the * +

wall and make a bolt for the lead if anything it is an oppertiunity for them to catch up on dye size and calcs per clock. * +

intel think sandybridge may last three generations if that is true then amd have a good vantage point to take stock and see where intel are going, them being a full generation behind may actualy work in there favor as they can see what the benafits of this gen are, where the next gen is going so adjust there 32nm plans accordingly. * +

thats the point lol. 1156 will be popular for a while now because A: amd have no answer still to the quads yet and B: the overclocking is preserved. 1366 wont be replaced til well into next year tho from what i seen on the roadmaps at high end * +
