yes there was corrupt files on it when i scanned it. also found virus on it. fixed both * +

my main drive is a IDE drive, i just want to add this SATA drive in for extra space, i dont want to have to reinstall onto the new drive just yet. which i'll have to do if i make it my main drive * +

yes it would be much better. busy downloading multiple huge files at the moment, got everything set up just right for it though. gonna finish it first then reinstall. also got to get adapter, as my cr*ppy power supply only got one sata plug, and i cant plug my dvd writer and the hard drive at the same time * +

also want to run the samsung harddrive diagnostic program on the hard drive first before i entrust all my data to the drive. need that adapter for power supply first *
